Call for Partnerships – fsysgame Cooking Transformer Expansion

Call for Partnerships. For the fresh development start of our food‑system cooking‑transformer game expansion we are scouting for potential partners. Cooking techniques, nutrition, and planetary health are the next three value sets we are passionate about translating into an engaging, open, collective card game for fun, real‑world action and education.

Agroecology principles, multi-fun-ctional landscape themes, and the Sustainable Development Goals build the three value sets we have explored in our collaboration with the Alliance Biodiversity International & CIAT, and our recently Open‑Access published Food Heroes Expansion Set.

Now we want to focus on the delicious part and the culinary art of food‑system transformation and expand our 60‑card collection with another analogue 60‑plus‑card set, including comics, digital add‑ons, and facilitator guides centered around cooking, nutrition, and planetary health for schools, homes, and clubs.

For this fresh development quest we are currently scouting the potential “mycelium network” of science, game‑design, education, and funding partners. If you resonate or might know/tag fitting connections, we are happy to get to know you and explore our possibility space.

“Can a card game change how children think about food – and how they eat?”

Researchers from the Alliance and partners are testing fsysgame / Food Heroes in 37 Kenyan schools to explore how a comic and card game can help children understand food systems, biodiversity, and nutrition while inspiring real-world action. Story published on Alliance Biodiversity & CIAT:

“Culturalizing sustainability” Viewpoint published in Nature Sustainability including ktopias “playful encounters on sustainable action”

“Policy-makers and scientists dominate high-level sustainability debates but any decision that follows has consequences for ordinary people in their local communities and environments. We asked experts to reflect on the importance of embracing a culturally informed, bottom-up approach to the sustainability discourse and action.”

I am grateful and honored to have taken part in the collective co‑creation of this viewpoint and weaving “Solid Science for Serious Fun”, our Storybilities, Playabilities and Sustainabilities into the multi-perspective viewpoint.
