Real card action for food system transformation.
An open-source Collective Card Game (CCG) in International Development Cooperation.

Each of the 60 cards contain a real-world action that trains skills from three sets: 13 AE Agroecology Principles, 12 MFL Multifunctional Landscape Themes, 17 SDG Sustainability Goals, +3 HHH Head, Heart and Hand Superpowers. Includes Comics, facilitator guides, the Science in the cards and more.

In our upcoming Expansion development, we focus on Food, Cooking, Nutrition and Sustainabilty.

The DIY Kit has been developed with the Multifunctional Schools Network in Kenya, established with CSHEP and DNRC in Kiambu, Kajiado, and Makueni Counties, under the CGIAR Science Program on Multifunctional Landscapes, led by the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, in collaboration with The Grass Company and fsysgame.org

The SWAG

The Smart Waste Agency Game (The SWAG) is an open-source tabletop card game and an adaptable Open Educational Resource.  The Game immerses players into the world of waste types, recycling, and “the Circular”  – fostering creativity, collaboration, and climate awareness.

The SWA Game was developed in 2024 by a “cooperative for a season” consisting of of 3 City Administration departments including the local waste cleaner corp., 3 non-profit Youth organizations and 63 Children and Teenager. Creative Production and coop facilitation by André Boeing from ktopia.eu. The SWA Project was assigned to Ktopia and funded by the the Smart City Kassel Model Project via the German Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building and the KfW Bank.
